rockets or astros game if she's somewhat of a sports fan.

cabain's a real cool bar/lounge where yuppies like to gather around. they serve snacks and they got little tables, leather couchs and several plasmas on their walls. u can carry a decent convo without it being too loud.

she'll like it. trust me.

Or Moody Gardens, that's always fun and is an all day, yet expensive, adventure.

My beef with you all making these comments is that you both have never experienced what you're suggesting. It's sort of like saying "I hate McDonald's!" without ever going to it. :(

    I LIVED THERE.

    crazyguynamedpete, huh?

In all seriousness, though, you didn't say where you guys have gone already in Houston or any other town, or if she's older or younger than you, or if that's a student and wants to get away from studying, or what...? It's a shot in the dark right now... we can't suggest stuff.

There's the entire MUSEUM district... about 16 total to choose from, the Zoo, the Arboretum, a nice walk through Hermann Park, tour Rice University, the Medical Center, [whew!] or much more around there.

have strip clubs been suggested? I've never been to one, but the fact that they're rated as the best in the country...makes me proud.

take her to the alley theatre and enjoy a play. =)
