    Hey guys,

I was wondering if yall could give me some advice on where to go out and grab some drinks before the game? Preferably walking distance from Toyota Center.

    Thanks for the help!

    Go Rockets!!

Right around the corner. There are great spots everywhere in that area.

I went to MKT before game 3 and it was a lot of fun - not exactly "rowdy" but the beer was good & reasonably priced.l It's also only 3 or 4 blocks from TC.

House of blues, lucky strike, and Petes piano bar is real close to the Toyota center. And if you are willing to walk for 9 minutes down main street to around capitol st. and Texas Ave (or take the light rail if you can catch it at the right time, you need a metro card) to you'll find a ton of bars there. You'll have the Flying Saucer (best bar in Houston beer tap wise), Mollys, Sambuca, State Bar Lounge, etc.

Bring a cooler in your car. Problem solved

Btw, doesn't Lucky's have a free shuttle if you drink there?

favorite place to drink in Houston is the Flying Saucer (if i can find a place to sit). 2nd favorite if i want to chillax and not deal with 100 people is Mollys.

Those $9 beers are 24 oz, which makes them $4.50/12 oz beer. That's cheaper than some bars downtown and on Washington Ave.

I would also like to add your car to the list. It did me well a few times. No annoying bartenders. No pesky bouncers telling you you can't walk out of the premise with that beer. Patrons don't get mad if you pee in a bottle.

Name one bar in the entire world that is better than my vehicle.

Is it a DUI in Texas to drink in your car (even if it's off and the keys are hidden)? If not, party on in your car. In Arizona it's a DUI...

Is it really? I thought you have to be under the influence. I know we have open container laws.

Theres literally a bar right across from the Tundra garage. It's a little hidden since they don't have a sign but it's right there.
