Does anyone have an opinion on Texas Paralyzed Veterans? We have donated to all kinds of places over the years including Goodwill and Salvation Army but if we do we donate directly to the store since it happens to be the most convenient. TPV picks up the donations from our house.
Thanks, I no longer feel bad about donating clothes that are so ragged the homeless wouldn't wear them.
I just drop mine off at Goodwill now. My wife used to work for a non profit that gave out clothes to low income families and homeless. She would drive around the neighborhood a week later and see those people trying to resell the clothes that just got donated to them.
I'm glad to hear they're enterprising enough to optimize the donation. And. what about the polo shirts? Did they somehow never make it to distribution?
Also where is the good place to drop off old computers? I googled some places and they claimed to be some environmental green org but when I drove to that place, it was freaking C&D scrap metal shop. Eventually I just gave them the computer and of course they will sell it like scrap and gave me nothing, but if there are actually places that can use these for better ways, I would like to know also. I still got 10+ old desktop and laptops need to get rid of.
