    amazon, vanns, crutchfield....

any authorized dealer of the brand you're buying....save on taxes, and it's much cheaper most of the time

Amazon is selling the Samsung 40" LCD 4061 for $1051 today. That's a great price.

I know you said you wanted to buy it here in Houston, but you really might want to consider an online retailer. My TV is $4000 at Best Buy, Circuit City, etc and with shipping, but I ordered online and got it for $3300 at bestbuypcs.com It took exactly 7 days to reach my house. Just a thought.

Maybe it was just my TV then, but in the end I saved $700 shopping online and just thought it might be worth a shot to save some money.

FYI, TeamUSA, you do NOT need ComCast to watch the ROCKETS on HD for this or any other game on ABC. The major stations broadcast locally over-the-air HD, so you also might want to invest in an amplified antenna like this. They're not expensive, and will serve good purpose for viewing TV in HD when ComCast isn't working.

I completely understand that sir. I don't have cable and I've been watching the games thru sopcast and I'm tired of it :). It's time.

    Plasma:
Pioneer Elite > Pioneer > Panasonic

    LCD:
    Sony/Samsung>Toshiba>Sharp>LG>Philips

    low tier LCD:
