I don't want schools to potentially expose my children to unconventional sexual situations. I want to do it the old fashioned way: by having them accidentally discover evidence of me and my partner's threesome in shocking photos, by coming home when they're not supposed to or during legal proceedings.

I don't think she necessarily opposes non-traditional relationships (the evidence suggests not). she (rightly) opposes teaching young kids about them. I don't see the conflict.
