I'm just opining about what I wish had happened. I like the Big Fellas to build a team around. Give me a game-managing quarterback anyday. 95% of completed passes are throws that any NFL QB can make. The key is good decision-making and game management (i.e. no turnovers). BTW, Collins has 6 TD passes in his last two games-- maybe the rust is starting to come off. These last nine games are his first in a couple of years...
Vince struggled some as young QB's will, then he got the first injury ever, then the team went on a winning streak without him. Coach Fisher would be crazy not to let it ride. But it's probably a little early to sum up his career. He may come back to star and he may not. Just look at Kerry Collins after year 3, you would have never bet on him being 10-0 as a 35 year old.
