Where is the world outrage at how U.S. POWs are treated?

    Since it's kind of on topic, I'll mention that one of the bodies recovered during the rescue of Pvt. Lynch was from Amarillo... which is where I grew up.

    Chief Warrant Officer Johnny Villareal Mata, 35, Amarillo, Texas, 507th Maintenance Company was listed by the Pentagon as being among the dead recovered. (Of course, another site lists him as being from Pecos, Texas, which is nowhere near Amarillo, but I'll go with the CNN and Amarillo Globe-News reports for now).

    The city of Amarillo lost one resident in the first Gulf War. I believe his name was Tommy Butler, but I'm going from memory on that, and I may be wrong.

    On a different note, someone murdered my dad's former tailor, who was also from Amarillo, too, this week. I just thought that was weird, evne though it's not really relevant to the discussion at hand.
