How do I use oink?? Anyways, I'm using utorrent and I'm connected to 40 seeders and its downloading pretty fast...only problem is I can't seem to get that incoming connection thing to turn green. I changed my firewall setting and everything else I could think of. I don't know what else to do. I created the UDP and the TCP and made sure it was the same portal number... I don't know what to do??
Google "port forwarding [your router's model or brand]" Your router is preventing you from connecting as a security precaution.
I tried that and it's still not working. I'm using a 2wire1000sw router/modem But why do I need it to connect? It's dling just fine And how does Oink work? If that is easier then someone please send me an invite
They opened registration on 3/3 and 4/6. I have a hunch they'll open it again this friday or one of the next two fridays. Yeah, that's your DSL router. Google the brand/model of your other router that connects the computers in your home network. Some users can't connect to you, so your speed is limited to those who can. Private trackers work by sending a user password with the torrents you share. You need an email to get an invite.
That's the only thing we have. That serves as both the DSL modem and wireless router all-in-one. I'm just going to forget about it because it still downloads at a reasonable speed.
Thanks to whoever sent the invite... what's the deal with Oink? Nothing is seeding. I never had a problem with any other sites, but literally nothing uploads at all. Is there some sort of setting I'm missing?
The things with torrents is that you need people to share to be able to download the file. If your torrent has 0 seeds (people with full file and still uploading) and very few leechers, than you probably wont be able to download the complete file. P.S. How is Oink that much superior than Iso Hunt or Mininova?

i had an oink account, but i forget my username/pass. i tried doing the recover password thing. appearantly i forget what e-mail i used to register, pretty sure i used 1 of the 2 i typed in, but its saying they arent found. actually just read on their site, said if you're trying to recover info, and it says the system does not recognize the e-mail address it could be due to inactivity for 6 weeks, which I know has to be the case with me. Said i need a new invite, so if i could get one that would be great. also, anyone who can help me setup so i can upload a bunch of stuff would be much appreciated. Like I said in previous post, I had trouble finding stuff to put on there since most of it was there. Thanks
Well I just finished downloading Stranger Than Fiction and now it's currently seeding. I have a 1.94 ratio but the only problem now is that I don't know how to run the movie. I heard in order to play it in WMP I needed to get some codec, which I already downloaded and installed. But how do I play the movie?
Thanks but I figured it out. You aren't supposed to open the original torrent file, rather you open up the folder with the .avi from utorrent and then it opens up using WMP. My first torrent, I'm excited!
