I think not adding fuel to the fire has been the right move. Nothing Stone SAYS publicly will help anything. Just keeping making and taking (or not taking) those calls. The price we’ve stated is the price. Centerpiece, young talent and picks. We gain leverage by simply keeping the message consistent and not reacting.
I think they are playing it either way, like they have with every move so far. They may prefer one way over another, but that’s not how you make decisions. You have to think upside and risk. So I think it all remains as it has. The FO has made moves that at first glance probably will make us a better team than last year. At the same time, they can pivot with Harden if the right offer comes.
I am not sure as fans we are focused on the right thing. I get we want the team playing ball with Harden but this is bigger than basketball. Harden is putting himself, family, friends, teammates and other teams in danger with his carelessness of not wearing a mask. People are still dying from this Covid.
There is next to ZERO risk of Harden giving the virus to anyone, as the reinfection rate is microscopically low. If you want to argue that he’s setting a bad example, fine, but the real risk of him giving it to anyone is basically none.
I think we are used to having leak everything and rumors galore Morey. Stone is an attorney by trade so he doesn't want to potentially expose himself to something that may be a liability later. Definitely more boring but the right thing to do.

We're a **** ran franchise now ever since Tilman took over. Stone made some good moves but I wouldn't be surprised at all if this guy resigned a couple years under Tilman. No one is gonna say anything about this whole fiasco? We're supposed to play the Blazers in 2 days, is that game cancelled too? This whole thing is a shitshow. Harden needs to be held accountable first, not a measly 50k fine. Players won't fall in line when our office is so soft towards Harden.
