Anyone who spells it this way is not an expert. At least google the damn thing if you don't recall. I will say this. Goode Co. BBQ has the best barbecued chicken you will ever have, and the jalapeno bread is awesome. And the best seafood ceviche is right down the street afterwards at Goode company seafood on Westpark.
The chicken is the only thing that is decent at Goode. Everything else is not even worth mentioning. IMO once you have had the likes of Kreuz or Snow's anything in Houston tastes like jerky in comparison.
I hope that someone with authority gives you negative rep for this abortion of a post. May God have mercy on your soul
The last time I was in Houston I had the brisket at Goode. I miss Houston. I don't know much about Memphis BBQ but the difference I have noticed between Texas and KC BBQ is that Texas BBQ doesn't cook with a sauce where as in KC they drown the meat in a sweet vinegary sauce both cooking and at serving.
Amen to that. Kruez and Snow's has kind of ruined me to all other BBQ places. Franklin BBQ in Austin is right up there with those two. The only place that comes close in Houston is Burns BBQ - which is as good as it gets in Houston.
never been a fan of goode co bbq. it may be a houston institution but it isn't very good. nothing in houston really compares to smitty's or city market in luling, but i've never been to thelma's or burns' or pierson so i cant say definitively. gatlin's is pretty damn good though, just not quite at the level of some of the bbq mecca heavyweights.
It's pretty good. I'm from League City, so I used to have that a lot. I am looking forward to trying Gatlin's soon. Thanks for the recommendations, folks.
