Sweet, thanx for the advice, I live on Richmond, by Westheimer and I think that I have seen a Goode Co around here, so I am gonna go check it out tomorrow. Man, the food here is so AWESOME, I ate at a mexican place called "Ruchi's" the other day. It was good and cheap. I also want to hit up a place I was told about called KimSon, a vietnamese place my family said was really good. Definetly gonna hit Goode co tomorrow though.
Corky's in Memphis has BBQ'd spaghetti. Odd enough to give it a try. Has anyone been to Pappa's BBQ? How is it.
Thomas bbq on I-45 Blakes bbq on Jeanetta and westhiemer These two OWN them all. I swear, I really do...heh
In Schulenberg, TX, there is a small place called 'city market' (family owned and operated for generations)... On Saturdays, before noon (and ONLY at this time) they sell freshly cooked brisket, whole chickens, and sausage. Their food is in a class by itself. I've had Goode Co., Otto's, Hickory Hollow... that's good stuff. But the BBQ from that place in Schulenberg (specifically, the brisket and chicken) leaves the others far behind. -- droxford
The best BBQ is definitely *not* in NZ! I thought Otto's was really good and I enjoyed the atmosphere and brisket at the Hickory Hallow. Great bluegrass bands played there on the weekends when I was a regular. I have to represent for eastside BBQ. Brother-in-Law's BBQ in North Shore (it might technically be in beautiful Cloverleaf, now that I think about it) is ace! The sliced brisket, sauce, cole slaw and beans will make you believe in a just and happy universe. It's badass!
County Line is outstanding, especially the big beef ribs. The rehearsal dinner for my wedding was there and everybody who came in from out of town was raving about the place. They all said they were the best ribs they had ever had. As far as outside of Houston, Mrs. Ref tells me that Dreamland in Mobile, AL has great ribs.
Rocket Fan....you are a senior? What happened to the tradition of all seniors going down to Destin for senior week, nailing (or hooking up if she's a baptist student union type) all the gals you never got to in 4-years of undergraduate school, taking over the Redneck Riveria, hiring Big Head Todd and the Monsters to play on the beach, etc...????? Tell me that the pc police didnt kill that debauchery.....those were good times....I christened many a boat along the Destin docks. Oh, and not to get off topic...there's no good BBQ in Destin, however they have Whataburger now.
Best steak barbeque (and BBQ overall): Soooooo Goode Co. Best ribs (even though they're outside of Houston): Dreamland BBQ Seriously, the best. I'm sure bamaslammer would agree. Yeah, I'm a homer.
