Anyone have any updates? I was looking at the 25 point game versus Boston at the start of the season. Man, if he comes back with that SAME form. We will be the team to beat for sure. He was hustling hard for rebounds and put backs for easy points.
I doubt he cracks the rotation when he gets back. D-Mo, Smith, Howard are playing so well. Reggie Jackson in the on the trading block. I would be thrilled if we could find a package to get him even if that means sending away Jones and our Pelicans pick.
Terrence turned 23 a couple days ago. His birthday cake looked hilarious! Yao Ming Cake still GOAT, but Beard cake is not so bad.
He could have an important role on this team come playoff time. When games are close & teams go to the hacka<insertnamehere> they have a lot of options when it comes to who to foul on the Rockets because they have so many poor FT shooters , especially at the C & PF spots. Howard , Smith & Dorsey are all below 50%. You cant put those players on the floor in that type of situation and expect to win playoff games. Jones isn't a great FT shooter but he & Motiejunas are the two guys you can go to in that situation and not cripple your chances. That is , unless they make a move to bring in another big , which honestly I don't see happening because of the needs elsewhere , most notably a distributor.

Such a shame he's been knocked out the majority of the season because of this, he was off to such a great start. I do wonder if the "light" goes on for DMo at all if Jones doesn't miss time.
Well with all the time Dwight missed, odds are DMo would have pushed Jones out of the starting job one way or the other.
I doubt it. I feel bad for T-Jones, but his injury was a blessing in disguise. They needed the improved D-Mo in order to win 8 games in Dwight's absence, and I don't think that would've happened had he remained a bench player all season. I don't know what McHale is gonna do when T-Jones gets back, but I hope that at the very least D-Mo remains the starter. He's more than earned it.
I ran into T. Jones a couple weeks ago at Mai's (the vietnamese restaurant on Main) around 4 am Saturday night. That man is TALL! definetly looks taller than 6'9". I said to him: "hey Terrence Jones, I hope your foot gets better!" He patted me on the back. Ha... we ended up sitting near the bar right next to his booth. No one really recognized him there. As we were waiting for the food to be served, I asked if he'd take a picture w me. Haa... DENIED! Ouch... he just turned his head away from me like he didn't hear the question. No worries. 2 mins after Jones ignored my question, and while i was eatting my food, his 2 cent bodyguard/friend came up to us, and told me: "chill out" (×3). I was annoyed, and confused, and said: "you chill out". That's all...
That sucks, I hate when people have negative experiences with people they are fans of, no bueno, but where do you get Vietnamese food at 4am
Mai's restaurant on Main st. http://maishouston.com/ They stop taking orders at 2am, but they stay open a lot longer. Im guessing as long as people are there. They serve some great food as well btw!
