It tells me that now that he's healthy, and able to practice that he can't beat out Luther for that 5 minutes that Luther played last night. Coaches comments were also telling... He was glad to have barry and wafer coming back. No mention of SF3.

Steve what happened from franchise tag to this, not even suiting up to warm the bench --- :(

How the mighty have fallen. He's like a meteor, shinning bright when flying high, but crashing down to earth in an instance essentially not even fading away - just burning out.

Are you guys sure Francis didn't suit up for the game?

I was at the game and I thought Francis was suited up on the bench. True I had second tier seats but it looked to me like Francis was not only suited but was the first one off the bench to cheer the team and even did free throw drills with the team during shoot around.

This might not mean jack crap, but I was at the Rockets vs. Kings game Friday night. During shootaround, Stevie was bricking shot after shot from the right side of the key from about 15 feet. I counted six straight misses, and four of those weren't even close. No life or lift in his jumper, whatsoever. Just the way he was carrying himself didn't give me much of a feeling he was a guy looking to get any playing time this season. I think it's time to close the book on SF3, then nobody gets disappointed. If he does by chance ever make it back on the court then it'll be a bonus. Even so, I don't expect any significant contribution.

I was at the game vs. the Nuggets and he was shooting around. He was hitting most his shots. Don't look too much into one night of shoot around. Jumpers come and go quicker than fans on here decide players should be traded for Rudy Fernandez or Pietrus.

Haha...yeah well I hope you're right. I was with a buddy and we were following him pretty close as he went around taking shots. Oh yeah if we had Rudy Fernandez instead of Tracy we'd be sick this year! :p

Yeah he sure did, I was there with a couple friends. I don't see any reason he would have changed after shootaround, but he was definitely in warm-ups taking shots during before the game.

Just give him some time to get back into game shape. he will play this year and contribute. Mark my words. AS soon as he is in game shape he will play and i think that next year he will reup with the rockets and play a big role with the team....or maybe im just dreaming. how does a allstar player 4 years ago go from starter to a piece of crap not worthy of some min......everone says he is old...he is only 30 and dream was in his early 30's when he won the championships so whose to say he dosent come back and kick some A$$ in the next couple of years..................and Fu@$ Utah Jazz.....hate em...

Rick is killing me with not playing Francis, it makes no sense for a 3x allstar not to see playing time where he started his NBA career

See the coach doesn't care if he's a 3x allstar who cried his way out of Vancouver and started his career here. All he cares about is winning and right now we keep winning and everyone ahead of SF3 performs better in the team concept than does an injured out of shape former allstar who is a shell of his former self.
