Stevie will eventually get his chance. I bet he'll start off with some garbage minutes during some blowout. Rick isn't going to keep him on the bench if he's working hard in practice. If there wasn't even a chance that Steve would play, I doubt that Morey and Rick would even ask him to suit up...ever. It'll take time, but we'll see him on the court. Or...he'll be traded. Cod
Watch the game closely, when the cam moving to the Rockets bench, then you will find where Stevie is. Oops,if you wanna know the whereabouts of Stevie after game, you can google earth it.
steve knows he can still play he said it recently that he even has his old athleticism back but hes in horrible shape and his shot isnt there how do you expect him to help us out of shape and his shot is off? i am glad he doesnt play right now because if he did there would be tons of people saying hes done. He just started practicing and then he missed a few practices/games give him til mid january at least and if he doesn't get in the rotation expect a trade before the deadline..the rockets organization have said they have him in theyre plans just wait and see what happens but right now steveis in no shape to play
I was at the game yesterday and he was dribbling around Yao doing shoot around. I guess he's just waiting for garbage time.
I think he might be some where in here, Check it out http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=157631
Do people not realize that the instant any news on SF comes out, that there will be at least 10 threads started all at the same time stating the same stuff? Nothing new, read the other SF thread(s).
I was also at the game. On Wednesday sat in the 8th row. He was definitely pissed at riding the pine all night, getting no PT. Adleman could have at least showcased him during the last 2 minutes when everyone was going home. Sorta feel sorry for the guy. He used to be the face of this franchise. Now all he does is suit up, and look pissed.
I don't think it would have made a difference. Instead of everyone lobbying for Francis to get PT, Strawberry would have gotten the same treatment Francis is getting. Just suit up and sit on the bench. Francis is on the team cause his contract was guaranteed. Strawberry wasn't and they needed to cut someone. Same reason why Mike Harris was cut
What is up with these garbage Francis threads? Seriously, can't you post this in one of the other 2 billion Francis threads on this board? This is ridiculous. Steve Francis is on the bench. That's were he will stay. If you have yet to figure out that he isn't playing for the Rockets then i don't know what to tell you. Brooks does a great job of backing up Rafer. He's also capable of logging enough minutes when Rafer is hurt. TMac can also run the show like he did last night. Wafer was hurt as well, that's why he didn't play.
imo, steve's had a fork in him for about 4 years now. people forget that before he left orlando his trade value was less than kelvin cato's. LESS THAN CATO'S. NYK couldn't get production out of him, and shipped him out to portland, who wanted nothing to do with him either. let's think about that. if he were close to being a productive player, wouldn't they have kept him, if nothing else as a possibly tradeable asset down the road? if he exhibitted gr8 leadership skills, wouldn't they have kept him in the "deke/juwan/pj brown" role? no. they bought him out and showed him the door. imo, we brought him back as a personal favor. I think it was a thank u for the effort he did put in here. I think he was rewarded for his yao relatonship, as well. what else can explain bringing in an injured guy (pre-existing) with all the pomp and circumstance he was brought back with? don't you guys know that he was examined by our staff? you don't think they knew how bad the injury was and that it would need surgery? class move by the org to pay homage to him with this free 2 yr contract. class move, no doubt. but I'm convinced he will never be a contributor to a team again. not saying he won't step on a court again, cuz he probably will. but his days as a rotation player, just like his game and the shotclock, are gone.
I saw Stevie in a U.F.O. sittin' there with Howard Hughes I saw Stevie in a U.F.O. Jimmy Hoffa was in there too I saw Stevie in a U.F.O. singing them rhythm and blues And Liberace was there and he had on a pair of Imeldia Marcos shoes What is that a shootin star streakin' cross the heavens above? No it's a whole lot more than a shootin' star it's a hunka hunka burning love, oooh I saw the Cat in a U.F.O. had a big smile on his face And then he shook his head, puffed on his cigar and said "I done book "Stevie " out in outer space" And then those little pink men they all jumped in dancin' up and down the stairs And then they rolled their eyes, began to harmonize and it sounded like the Jordoniares Bop bop bop bop uh unh huh bop bop bop We got Stevie in a U.F.O. he's too good for the human race We got Stevie in a U.F.O. we're going to keep him out in outer space They got Stevie in a U.F.O. honey have you heard the news They got Stevie in a U.F.O. just singing them rhythm and blues They got Stevie in a U.F.O.
if you look high, does that mean you are high? should I assume it, because of your name? i'm sure steve wants to play. that doesn't mean he CAN play, though. and no one knows if he's "mad" or whatever. maybe he just had to fart but didn't want to piss off ron. would you fart on ron??
STILL A SF3 FAN!! and Ya'll can get pissed all you want SF3 fans are still out here. . and still gonna beleive in him Rocket River
If Francis is not read and if Adelman think so, then he shouldn't play. We need give him time to recover and get back to shape. There is no point in rushing him. Saying that, if anyone saw how Francis perform during the practice, perhaps he or she would know better on what shape is he in at the moment.
