Steve Francis will be back when Luther and another player gets traded or waived. He is working on his basketball condition. Its possible Rafer gets added to a package if A. Brooks keeps up his play.
I think Steve Francis' weight loss over the summer shows he is taking steps to prep himself for a return to court. That's not easy to do while injured! I have faith that he is getting back into form and WILL put everything he has into it. This is a championship year possibly and he smells it. He and every other player is going to compete for floor time.
Can't imagine Francis being Head or Rafer insurance when he's more capable of anybody on the team to get dealt. If anything he'd be sent out of town along with them. He might not be done but everyone else probably is with him. Now that Wafer's making a little noise he's slightly becoming even more expendable.
It was early this week if you want proof go to the 610 website and look for the podcasts that morey had this week and he talked about steves status
wow thats great thanks. Now im eager to find out when the next practice is. I doubt he will fully go through it but just 2 know that he is back on the courts is great.
yess hopefully he can play in games middle of december but i doubt he will get any minutes unless something happens to rafer again
Yeah I agree the rotation is tight and you cannot disturb it unless their is a legit reason. My guess is steve will be a situation guy more like a utility man when the point guards are not playing aggressive enough
im still rooting for him now especially since i hear hes going to be practicing this week, i really hope he will take alstons spot and brooks will back him up so they can get rid of rafer but i guess i should keep dreaming
With the way the season has gone so far, I wouldn't say any of our rotations are locked. Anyways, it was goog seeing him out there jumping around and cheering on his teammates. With Deke gone, we need somebody to keep everyone motivated.
i heard some good news about steve actually. apparently he's been much more dedicated to his rehab over the course of the past month than he was previously, and is improving more quickly now as a result. We might see him on the floor after all. Probably not until the new year at least, but it's a possibility.
I love Steve but I think he's done. You have to understand this is a guy whos relied on his athleticism his entire career. Plus with the way Brooks is playing, it's going to be tough to crack the rotation.
Yeah, that's another reason we need Deke back. Dude is great for morale. The Rockets should sign him to a lifetime contract as the new mascot.
