Please don't.. that's so insulting to both Steve and the other players.

I beg of you to stare the evil stare at anyone who tries it.

Do not chant that. It is inappropriate.

On a similar note, the Red Rowdies and the guy who plays the music during the game need to get together or something.

95% of the time, red rowdies are chanting one thing, the PA guy plays another.

i would say only if its a blowout either way to do that, at that point start some sort of chant to get francis in. if the game is close in any shape or form no way coach has to go with the guys that will help him win the game. francis probably would benefit from seeing some game time, but the guy has been off the court so long i wouldnt trust him right now in a tight game until he has more than a few practices under his belt. in garbage time though a different story.

maybe just a we love steve chant we be cool before the game just to let him know people here still root for him

Right. Because, as fans, we have a much better idea than the coach of who's most game-ready.

and then he'd come in, probably start sucking because he hasn't practiced enough, and then you'd all start chanting "we hate steve," or "pull his ass" or something.

    That I can get behind.

But in no way should you chant we want Steve during the game... even if it is a blow out.

Steve Francis is not ready to play according to chron.com. If he is ready, the coach would play him since TMac decided to rest himself for three weeks, and the team needs more players to play the competitive games. Please try not to damage Red Rowdies's reputation by doing this thing.

If he's suited he's ready. Some of you act like Steve is playing basketball for the first time in his life. The season is young, we have injuries on the team and Francis is anxious to play as I am to see him play. Who exactly is this disrespectul towards? Rafer's atrocious shooting percentage and his non existent defense? Please...

Also, fans should be able to chant whatever they want to. Good luck stopping them.

    WE WANT STEVE!!!!!!!!!!!

Who cares man, adelman isn't going to play him just because the fans are chanting for him. it took him like 6 games last year of people chanting to even get him a minute!!

    I'm going with....

    WE WANT STEVE!!!

Its fun for everyone and plus steve likes to hear the chant, maybe it will make mcgrady jealous he isn't loved that much... He has no idea what it is to be a houston Icon like steve does!!
