Ah, the intricacies of mascot dynamics. A-Train has it pretty much right. "Athletic" mascots like Turbo can be intimidating to some kids because they look too much like a real adult. It's much easier for little kids to get into Clutch. That's important to us. Tim

God, I @#%*ing hate Clutch. What does a bear have to do with rockets or Texas or basketball or Houston or anything? It's just something the marketing department made up to sell stuffed dolls to kids at the game who are too young to appreciate basketball anyway (the annoying little brats who are always running up & down the aisles and spilling stuff and crying while you're trying to watch the game). Remember that Clutch was brought to you by the same geniuses who created our @#%* ugly uniforms - hopefully, they're both gone after this season.
