But it was his first shot as a Rocket.

If this truly is a rebuilding developing year, we need to See Hill more, win or lose.

No more Andersen...please....please no more Andersen.

The Orlando game? RA probably just didn't want Jordan to be manhandled by Howard. Relax, he'll get his PT. I doubt if he will be sent to the dleague, I think he will be used in our games. We'll just getting him up to speed.

Adelman may still think otherwise. We are still in the playoff run theoretically.

When my wife worked in the area of Fountainview & Westheimer, we used to lunch @ China Garden quite often. That was my Chinese food standard! About 3 years ago, we went back there only to find that the jewelry store had expanded into their spot. Does anyone know where China Garden moved to?

If the Knicks saw any real potential in him they would not have traded him. Hopefully he can become a solid NBA role player in the future.

I was wondering if we could all agree to keep posts exclusively to the subject at hand on this board.

By the way what does everyone think about the possibility of the Rockets retiring Luther Head's number (#2)?

I think he was talking about the China Garden dowtown, just on the other side of the Toyota Center garage. It's a popular place to go before Rockets games.

Just got a tweet saying Hill was stroking 30 foot jumpers in practice...The more I hear about this guy the more I am liking his game.

I look forward to seeing more of the A-team -- Budinger and Hill -- maybe in a wildcat set.

    STRENGTHS:
    - Ability to get to free throw line

After reading the compentency of Yao, Martin, and Lowry to do the same...it would appear the trend is strengthening.

now what PF around the 14th pick has the same ability?

Jordan Hill has no skills. He'll be on the bench until he learns. We acquired Hill instead of Douglas due to financial reasons on the Knicks part.

Hill has infinitely more trade value than Toney Douglas. As I mentioned in another thread, if Adelman decides he doesnt have enough skills/potential, then we can package Hill with our pick to get a better #1 pick. I would love to have a chance at Derrick Favors or Donatas Motiejunas. We really need a tall, true point guard with skills (John Walls), but that will never happen. Outside of Walls, our current set of PGs is better than anyone we could draft at this position this year.

If he had "no skills" he wouldn't have been drafted #8 overall. Dude averaged close to 20 & 11 his last year at Arizona...he can play, just needs time.

He should be seeing time now, because we aren't making the playoffs. I think Hill and Taylor both need to start seeing some 10 min a game to get their feet wet.

I think Hill will be used in a trade this summer, either to make a draft day move (for a PF that Morey himself wants to select) or in a sign-and-trade scenario.

While I think he has talent, I am at least a little fearful that, if the Rockets play him and he is exposed as a "bad player" (versus just a project), it may injure his trade value.

As I said before, Jordan Hill was likely included in this trade primarily to help the Knicks' cap situation, NOT because the Rockets insisted on getting him. All those reports in the NY media leading up to the trade about how Donnie Walsh refused to trade Hill were a bunch of BS. He HAD to trade Hill in order to get the amount of cap room necessary to add two max guys this summer. Trading Toney Douglas wouldn't have been enough; and Gallinari and Chandler are just better players. Curry was untradable. It HAD to be Hill.

That said, here's wishing Jordan Hill all the success in the world as a Rocket.
