I think everyone knew how good he was. He was a monster basically every time he played and was the face of the franchise. He had some playoff exposure in that big game against the Mavs while injured. He was supposed to be the next great shooting guard. Everyone still gushes over how he played in his short time on the court, no one ever criticized his game at all. Small market doesn't matter, he was almost the Kawhi Leonard of his time (in reputation, not in ability).
Had to look it up. In Roy's best year, POR had the slowest Pace in the league at 86 possession per game. He actually scored 33 ppg on a per 100 possession basis. I considered him better than Ginobody.
What does that have anything to do with this?? Recruiting is exclusive to colleges, and certain AAU programs......not high school basketball. But again, what does that have anything to do with this??
btw: Is Brandon Roy the last great college senior drafted. Or at least last picked in the Lottery. Draymond played 4 years. Any players (other than Green) picked after Roy's draft who became All-Stars?
You can clearly see T-Mac telling Artest to switch that. That was the correct basketball decision. With 0.8 seconds left on the clock, you switch everything. The only mistake was Artest stayed with Outlaw.
