Well, Garnet has lacking offensive postup strength, don't yall think? His scoring inside comes on either fade aways, put backs and alley oops. You wont see him dig his shoulder into David Robinson for a baby hook any time soon. That's why it's hard to place him, I think. ------------------
Oops, forgot about this thread. Bob, those are all-star numbers. That's it! The guy's an all-star, of which there are what, 20-25 a year? I judge a guy more by his performances in the playoffs, and Garnett has failed to step it up so far. He's just not a clutch guy yet. That's overrated to me. His numbers in the playoffs this year: 18.8 pts 10.8 rebs 38% fg Significant drops all-around. Those are terrible numbers for a guy with as much hype as he gets. ------------------ Winnifred Skinner is a slut.
While I agree KG is probably the most complete player in the league right now and an unbelievable defender, I have to agree with TheFreak in his inability to step up when it counts. To his benefit, he hasn't been blessed with a low-post threat such as a Robinson, nor has he been armoured with a versatile do-everything swingman like a Kobe. But his biggest - and perhaps only - knock is that he hasn't proved to be the go-to-guy in crunch time. And that clutchness (for a lack of a better word) separates the greats from the rest. You could say he is still young and inexperienced, but to my knowledge he's the same age as Duncan, and with at least 2 years more pro experience. I have no doubt that we will see KG rise to the challenge and prove he's a true great, but we have yet to see him do that. Azim da Dream ------------------ We don't live for the destination.
