no he's not. Adelman already said T-Mac and Battier are starting.

That's my point. Why would we need to start a scoring point guard when you have the best big man in the game and on of the best perimeter players? You don't need a floor general in this offense but its certainly nice considering our other players who start.

except Francis is nothing like Bibby. Mike James is a much better comparison to Bibby than Francis.

How absolutely amazingly quick we all forget the Rockets inability to get anyone except Yao and McGrady to score for them. Have we completely forgotten 4 players scoring for an entire game????

Because bibby definitely is a ballhogg who jacks up shots when the two superstars on the team are wide open?

Head has one skill, shooting the 3 and the rest of his game is very sub-par. Francis is a much better all around player. There is no way Head is way ahead of Francis, you are basing this on all three preseason games right? LOL

This team lacks consistent 3 point shooting and Head is our best 3 point threat. Hearing Adelman give praise to Head makes it pretty evident that he's ahead of Francis. We already have good all-around players in Bonzi and Mike James. Head gives us something none of the other guards have (3 point shooting).

Get over it rofflesaurus. Francis is on the team and your constant b****ing on this board isn't going change that.

which is exactly why francis and james would come off the bench. Also it is a completely different offense now, there is a lot more movement and less watching.

Head is ahead of francis. Head's one skill is worth more than Francis entire game.

Agreed. I don't really like any of the new additions we got except Scola. Francis can't hold a candle to Head, Rafer is miles better than Mike James, and Bonzi will soon be out with a groin injury. I hope we have the same starting lineup/bench as we did last season. We had the best point differential in the league and statistically should have advanced at least to the WCF.

But in RA system you dont have to be a great distributor. Just look at how Mike Bibby and Bobby jackson did in RA system, and they wasn't that great at being a didtibutor.

lets just use a small sample to judge the career of a 3rd year player and first career playoffs, whose skills have yet to be fully utilized.

If you think the same starting 5 + new offense gets the rox any further or heck past Dallas, Phoenix, or SA and Utah then you are gravely mistaken.

You can not have an 7-8 man rotation as RA is known for, and have three "scorers" sparkplugs come off the bench. Its never ever been done with success. SA has Ginobli, Phoenix has Barbosa, and Dallas has Stack.

If this team is going to succeed greatly, and by that I mean WCF at very least, then RA and Hayes and Battier can NOT start. Sorry, 3 offensive liabilities isnt going to cut it against the cream of the crop and yes, Rafer is a HUGE/MASSIVE/GIMUNGOUS offensive liability. I dont care what he has done against a B league team, and a NBDL team in the preseason.

Im not mad about SF not starting, Im mad that a worthless Rafer after 2 ok preseason games and a lifetime of suckitude, is going to start. Did we not see what Strafer Alston brings after 90 rocket games last year?
