Big Z is a very mediocre center...I can easily name ten Cs better than him playing in the L right now.

    Shaq
    Duncan
    Yao
    Dwight
    Jefferson
    Gasol
    Kaman
    Camby
    B. Wallace
    Biedrins
    Okur
    Bynum

    and many more..

I don't desire to make Dream a 4, I only point out that he could and did play that position. I guess I just hate tagging players certain positions because that has as much to do with match ups, the teams make up, ect... as it does the player. Lebron leads his team in assist but isn't the point guard. Same with Roy. They bring the ball up the court, the ball is in their hands and they distribute. Why would we strictly confine Wade to other shooting guards when he played (effectively) the point for stretches before? Garnet has played the 3-5. Duncan was a 4 with Robinson, last year he was a 5 next to Bonner. Wilkens played the 2 and 3. Erving is listed all decade as a 2. He went to the all stars as a two. He was listed as a 2 for the 76ers next to Bobby Jones as the 3. I don't understand how he can only be talked about as a three when he won a championship as a 2?! He is listed as a Guard Forward in the NBA's Top 50 list. I can't find anywhere that says he was defined by the 3. In fact there is an argument to be made he defined the 2 as well, and that is my point. Great players often are not defined by positions. I just feel like if you make a list and you take away guys that play multiple positions, that is going to be a flawed "greatest ever" list.
