Reggie, when you apply for the job do they do background checks on your friends and family? Do they interview them to get information about the applicant.

I've always wondered that because a buddy of mine applied for a job at an intelligence division within government and about a month later, I get a notice from the division saying they would like to interview me in regard to my friend's application, since he had listed me as a contact. I never got around to meeting with them as I was traveling oversees at the time.

Just wondering if there is formal protocol in regards to these agencies interviewing contacts.

Guys, it's a clerk position for a legal software company. Law firms use our service to electronically invoice their clients, per the client's request. This job deals with getting the law firms signed up and notifying the law firms when they are requested by the clients to use the service. It's a very laid-back company with no real dress code. Office is in the Galleria area, just across Hidalgo from Nordstroms.
