    I think this is mostly right, but it is too generous in some areas. Specifically:

    Shot creation: I think he struggled a lot last season with finishing plays. He can get past his man or to the basket, but his ability to finish those off consistently was below average, which impacts the offense a lot. He sometimes gets lost in a series of hesis instead of settling for a simple 4-6 foot jumper, and it feels that way too many of his shots are high difficulty, which shouldn't be the case for someone with the ball handling skills he has. One of the areas he improved towards the end of the season was just getting the ball out of his hands and trusting the offense would come back to him, and with his catch and shoot stats, I think we'll see more plays designed to get him open catch and shoot threes vs. him dribbling down and trying to run a Luka-style PnR offense.

    Defensive: He's much better against bigger guards, forwards, and even switching onto centers than I thought. But he was really poor against smaller PGs that he had to defend. Some, like Campazzo, really gave him fits.

    Houston Rockets

    Rockets guard Kevin Porter Jr. and the organization have mutual interest in a contract extension before the start of the 2022-23 season, sources said. Porter, the No. 30 overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft, is entering the final season of his rookie deal. He joined the Rockets on Jan. 29, 2021, and has made progress over the past two years in Houston.

    Porter averaged 15.6 points, 6.2 assists and 4.4 rebounds per game last season while shooting a career-best 37.5 percent from 3-point range.

    This video breaks down Porter jr after his first year with us (Rockets);
    But it often takes players 3 to 4 years to develop.

    I believe Kevin starts putting things all together now. Consistency and
    less dribbling the air out of the ball will make him tremendous.

    He's been playing PG for us now for 87 games....will be a keeper by the end of 22/23.

    I am holding my breath on what they are going to offer. I hope it is not a huge long term guaranteed deal. Team option is the way to go.

    I figured they’d let the market judge his worth. Maybe teams around the league are looking at him a bit more highly after his post ASB stretch and the Rockets are scared if he shows a little bit too much improvement in maturity & consistency that they might have to pay a little more than they thought

    KPJ might also not want the pressure of playing for a contract & still trying to learn to be the point. He might be willing to agree to a team friendly deal just he doesn’t have to stress about it and be done with it. Kid seems to really want to be part of that his team. Might agree to take less now on a shorter contract to show he’s worth more on the next one

    Cry more than I don't like your hero. I've unfortunately seen all of you losers. Being a KPJ fan is the least of your problems

    Team friendly deal that's easy to move on from would be my guess. Hope he's on his best behavior and you can either win with him or trade him down the road for a real player if he doesn't take a step forward.

    Still pretty stupid from the Rockets point of view. Rockets have zero need to do this right now and won't be seeing heat from any teams at the end of the season vying for his services. Tate I can understand, the guy's been a pro. Guess we'll see.

    I think giving him the same contract we initially gave Wood would be nice. Something around 3/$45.

    Are you 12? Who calls people "haters". Hit the gym instead of playing with KPJ'S nuts (sad you don't even work for him).
