Do a lot of y'all eat Lean Cuisine? I ate it for part of a summer because i wanted to eat healthy and cheap...all of it tastes like **** to me. On top of that, they are like 200-300 calories. I eat a pretty standard 2 meals a day(two snacks between meals), and I can't afford to only eat 250 calories in a meal.

Now, I keep a few Banquet dinners in the freezer for when I need a cheap meal. They're not made to be healthy, but the ones I buy are 400 calories, MUCH more filling and tasty than Lean Cuisine, and they are $1 a piece usually.

It's because lean cuisine is more in line with what chicks need for calories.

Most tv dinners taste like crap, esp if it's cheap.

If I need to make something quick, it's usually either a sandwich, ramen, chili, or something with hamburger meat.

I agree they are good value for a sit-down restaurant, but when you figure in a decent tip you can't really consider it a cheap meal. Good value? Yes. Cheap. No.

It's been on the menu for at least 4 or 5 months in Houston. I get one for breakfast a couple of times a week. I throw some butter and honey on it and it hits the spot.

This is the problem. I don't care if you can't cook or hate doing it. I like cooking and I'll happily do it if you prefer. But to act like you're somehow making a statement of independence from some presupposed indentured servitude drives me up the wall. It's nice if a woman can cook. It's even better if she's not making a stupid implication that it's demanded of her and she's too "independent" to *gasp* cook some frikkin pasta.

IMHO, all house duties should be shared...I understand women work, but so do men and it should be something done together...I grill alot but do other stuff as well..I have my kids in the summer so we eat out maybe once a week...All I'm saying is you don't have to eat out all the time...It's convenient, but eating out should be a last resort..Of course, that's different when you're dating...Maybe that's the problem...women get spoiled by eating out a lot when you first meet...

I'm not naive enough to think woman should be barefoot and pregnant, staying at home cooking and cleaning, oh wait...;) My general rule is I cook, you clean and visa versa...I thought it was a Dallas thing, as I've been here 4 years and every single girl I've been with couldn't cook that well, but they were good in bed so it made up for it...

    Exactly.

My wife and I split everything. If it's cooked inside, she does it. If it's grilled outside, I do it. And who ever doesn't cook gets to do the dishes.

Grilling is the best thing to happen to husbands ever. The key is, you have to pretend like it's a lot harder than it is. This is our dirty little secret.

Use as many different tools as you can (even if you don't actually need them) and talk a lot about how you have to get the meat to a certain temp or you have to turn the meat at JUST the right time, or the whole meal is ruined. Also, take every spice you have out to the grill, even if you don't use them.

Then while you're eating, say things like "wow, these turned out pretty good!" She will have no idea that all you really did was throw the meat on the grill and drink beer for 20 minutes. :)
