Wings are always a ripoff when you buy then from a wing shop. $10 for a ten wing combo? Might as well buy a good steak.

I like getting a $5 pound of wings from the rotisserie at HEB. Or you can get like 2 pounds raw for $3 and just bake them after seasoning. You can find a few varieties in the seasoning packet section. Healthier bc baked instead of fried like most and cheaper for sure! I think I might make a run after work. Mmmmmm... wings.

    King of all man food.

For a cheap meal I'll go to Kroger's and buy one of those Lean Cuisine Meals for $2.50. Throw it in the microwave and you're good to go. Fills me up and not bad for the price.

Not to get off target, but c'mon...Why are ladies like this now...Most if not all of the women I date have this attitude...They either can't or won't cook for whatever reason...I can cook and am not expecting June Cleaver, but cooking skills are, at least for me, an important part of the package...All I'm saying is that it's very attractive to have a women cook...End of rant...

Back to topic, I usually hit a subway for their sandwich of the day for $2.69 or whatever it is...But then my thought is why pay that when I can make one at home, which usually wins out...I also use coupons alot so I've been going to Luby's as I have a $5 off a meal that's good until 6/15/08...That means I usually pay $2.20 per meal...Lastly, I go to Sam's club for their Rotiserrie (msp?) chicken that lasts 2 - 3 meals and its $5...

I would agree with this, especially the bolded part.

Can't beat Wendy's dollar menu for cheap filling fast food. Burger (that's actually edible), large fries, large drink for $3.

Say it like it is. I have encountered too many girls like this before. Seriously, if you are not making more than your man, then you should take over some responsibilities at home. Some women are taking this women rights thing too far.

I cook dinner for my girlfriend every night. This works out because I happen to like to cook and I'm good at it. Much more-so than her anyway on both accounts.

The plus side of this comes in when she's being a crab and I can always pull out the "Isn't it nice to never have to cook dinner for yourself"-card. It's a wonderful thing, and I have no qualms about using it often since I justify it every day. Man power.

Still, I do have fantasies about a more "traditional" lady who surprises me with nightly culinary masterpieces. Or at least a more even arrangement, since I also pay for at least half of all the groceries.

I was joking about men cooking meals for me...in my relationships, it will be 50/50.

NO, I am not going to post my Marilyn Monroe picture again. :D

Sorry for derailing your thread, OP. :)

making your own fried chicken is really, really cheap.

    $1/pound leg quarters
a box of cajun-seasoned corn flake crumbs or bread crumbs
    a couple of eggs
    salt+pepper
    1/4 cup of milk

you can even microwave it and it'll still taste good. mMMMMM
