    There's been a lot of studies on this and generally tap water is as good as bottled water and as some of the posters noted even better. Also bottled water is wasteful not only for your wallet but for the environment. Consider all of the energy spent on bottling and shipping the water. If I'm going to drink something in a bottle its going to beer where I can get something more out of it than just what comes out of my faucet.

    Hill Country artesian well water

    None of that commie fluoridation, hippie filtration or PepsiCo bottlization for me.

    Bottled water may not be any better for you then tap water, but it sure does taste better. I buy it for the improvement in taste.

    I don't drink the tap water anywhere in the town I live in because it tastes disgusting. I buy bottled water purely for the taste. Similarly, I don't drink certain bottled waters like Ozarka because that too has a bad taste.
