@Newlin I think we had an initial disagreement but maybe we are closer to the same page than we initially thought. So I want to show you the rest of this thread and how these people act like some type of autonomaton not responding to any new information and still pressing on with the narrative that she's transgender. Nothing has changed for them. Do you find this type of behavior psychotic?
My theory is that the posters above have created parasocial relationships with a lot of these content creators in their social media algorithms where they built a deep trust where if they accept the fact that they are spreading blatantly false information, it will break their entire reality bubble and that is often very traumatic and people want to avoid that.
D&D should be about discussion and learning. Sadly, we don’t get much of that around here. This place has become overrun with people posting tweets, but not using their own words to express opinions. It’s pretty toxic in here and at times I’ve probably made it worse. Some people have become addicted to this place and some are just trolls. I try to limit my time in here. It’s rather sad to see what some of these people have become.
The Olympics - in reality, and for most people in the US of A - are a pretty ****ing glorious triumph of the US -powered largely multiracial and multiethnic teams (like USA gymnastics or fencing or basketball or track or almost every team)/ Meanwhile, the shitty ethnostates like Hungary and Serbia piddle their way to a few bronze medals in modern pentathalon or whatever the **** it is those countries are good at. Meanwhile, the incel krew (@AroundTheWorld @tinman ) is cleberating Team USA by - unleashing the latest weird ass tirade (powered by JK ****ing Rowling, I **** you not) about an athlete they don't follow with a controversy that didn't previously exist in a sport they know nothing about. I don't give China any credit for running up the medal count on sports like ping pong and diving. 22 years after Yao and they can't even field a competent basketball team. Come at us on the track, court, and pool bruhs.
The Chinese excel at diving into the pool, not so much swimming fast in it. I think they won every gold medal in diving.
