No - I have attempted to make this argument and was told I was wrong, that feminism and women are not in anyway compromised by trans women.
I had never heard of Dylan Mulvaney until she became an issue here. While certainly there are some of those on the “Left” who are very interested in trans issues it’s something that the Right seems far more obsessed with. I’m not aware of Biden or other Democratic leaders discussing the issue as much as Ron DeSantis and Republicans. Just here in Clutchfans consider the political leanings of posters who primarily post in this thread and have started other threads on this topic.
I never heard of that person either until all the rage from Republicans like DeSantis and Cruz. It's like they seek to destroy anyone who treats trans as humans. I don't care what people do with their lifestyle, as long as they aren't a threat to me. I don't get their obsession with it.
No one even knew about the can except people who follow Dylan. Some right wing person was following Dylan to get their outrage on and flipped out about the can. The first time people ever heard about the whole thing was from the right.
You may well be correct about this particular incident (I don't care about it either way, Bud Light always tasted like water to me lol). I had also never heard about this person before this incident. Definitely not something I get worked up about. I'm sure there is manufactured outrage at times on both sides. But the whole pseudo-inclusive signaling by corporations just annoys people.
Where were you during the great transgender wars? The front line kid, the front line I can't believe we let it come to this. This is crazy and I don't think it can be fixed.
It really isn't. Like you have to be on some serious Twitter right wing trans doom scrolling addiction spree to believe that trans people have any clout to affect women's rights. It's an absurd talking point lol. It's fine man. You aren't a bigot for it. Just kinda out of touch.
On this planet on the history of civilization, how many women have been effected by this issue? Can you count them with the digits on your hands and toes? Or do you need more extensive counting tools?
Numerically according to most studies there simply aren't enough trans people to wipe out women's sports as the alarmists claim. According to most estimates only about 0.6% of the population is actually transgendered. Out of that not all are transgendered men to women and out of that not all are competitive athletes. For the population overall trans people still represent a tiny part of the population yet judging by this thread and others rhetoric they are made to be an outsized threat. Even accepting the very small number of actual trans athletes biologically yes there are advantages to being a male. My understanding is that no top level sports league is allowing someone who just simply claims to be female to compete. They are still required to undergo hormone testing and for sports like swimming and track and field there are hormonal limits. At that point athletes like Lia Thomas hormonally are no longer male. What isn't so clear is what advantages do previous musculo skelatal development remain. It does appear that there are some advantages and Lia Thomas was a mediocre male swimmer but became a good female swimmer. Again it's important to note that in all but one race she still lost to competitors who were born women and even in the race she won was well below world record time. Also I think I'm the only one here who actually has experience with a trans athlete. To repeat as someone who coached a trans athlete she didn't dominate against women her weight and skill level nor in practices with men at her weight and skill level. Any advantages that she might've retained after transitioning didn't seem very apparent. Some have taken the absolutist attitude that any transitioned athlete shouldn't be allowed to compete against non transitioned athletes but that is a cultural and political statement. It also ignores that the standards we look at there are athletes who we consider born female (they aren't born with external male genitalia) such as Castor Semanya who still naturally produce more male hormones than many transitioned females. I will go back to what I stated at the beginning of this thread. I don't see clear evidence that trans people are the threat to women or women's sports that many see it to be but as a coach and official in my sport I think leaving it to the leagues to decide is the best rather than to governments and politicians.
You keep repeating that dumbass incel argument. Doesn't make it right. People who were born as men must not compete in women's categories. The end.
It's not even that the individual handful of women who feel upset they couldn't win their regional finals in their respective sport don't have legitimate greviciences. But it's not a a level of grevience and frequency of occurrence to warrant 1000 page threads in a NBA team fan message board and it definitely doesn't warrant milk toast moderates like @Nook to come in and inject affirmation to.bigots to continue spamming this message board. It isn't a frequency of occurrence to warrant statements that state that trans people are a threat to women's rights. It's absurd.
You keep on building a online manifesto that would make any mass shooter of an LGBTQ night club proud.
