Yall freaks need to chill out Spring Branch ISD field trip to Main Street Theaters canceled due to actors play male and female roles - ABC13 Houston SPRING BRANCH, Texas (KTRK) -- Parents are divided after they were notified about the cancelation of an upcoming field trip to see a performance of "James and the Giant Peach." The school said it was due to the age-appropriateness of the performance. Main Street Theaters' performance of "James and the Giant Peach" is marketed for those in first grade and up. Based on the children's book of the same name, it's a story about a boy who goes to live with less-than-loving relatives. Thomas told ABC13 this may have started during the public comment portion of a recent school board meeting. She said a parent shared her concern about the actors playing multiple roles that were both male and female, saying it's drag. "Drag is a different art form. There is a whole art form that is drag," Emerick said, adding that the theater has thousands of years of history of casting this way as well. "The amazing thing is the kids just believe the story. They're not interested in any agendas or anything else anyone thinks is going on." Thomas said this should not be the school or community's focus in the first place. "I don't think it's a big deal. I think it's overblown, a manufactured crisis," Thomas said. ABC13 reached out to SBISD about the decision to cancel the trip. The district responded with the following statement: "Spring Branch ISD's pending field trips to the Main Street Theater performance of James and the Giant Peach are being canceled due to concerns raised about the age-appropriateness of the performance."
I agree it is way more complicated. I was simply positing an idea about why women aren't protesting in mass about transgender females taking away their voices.
No one actually believes you or @AroundTheWorld think this is a women’s right issue…. well except for the other folks that are equally obsessed with the genitalia of others. This is just you and yours hiding behind a liberal cause to try and play gotcha.
Well I am more interested in genitalia of women (others). Maybe some people are more obsessed with their own lol.
Just curious with all your obsessive trans post… especially in regards to kids. @tinman obsession with children’s’ programming is a bit curious too. People are talking….
Like Christian Nationalists and their fairy godfather on high? Amusing the fine line between mental illness and religion.
Don't worry.... your browser history is safe...... We all know how much you think about children's programming.
Really.. that is your counter argument. I can see this isn’t actually a serious debate you’re having.
I didn’t particularly care for that either and agree it was virtue signalling. We’re actually in agreement on this and I’ve stated several times that hormone therapy and surgeries should be treated with caution and never doe quickly. What I’m against is outright bans against them. I think if someone is feeling so out of place with their body that such treatments should be an option. An option after a therapy and counseling.
You: “some women are ok with naked 18 y.o with penis showering next to 14 year old biological females” also you: we shouldn’t be talking about assault, harassment etc as above becasue it and the trans issue are mutually exclusive and could lead to more hate what did He say that was wrong ? You’ve made some batshit crazy points
And you’re entitled to that thinking but you do at least recognize that this is a real condition and whether you agree or not that as such singling then out for political gain is wrong. also have you consider that you don’t know what it’s like to be transgendered or a woman and your pushing your own privilege regarding what it feels like to be either?
You seem like a nice guy, but also somehow not like a guy who has a lot of success with the ladies lol.
Yes some women are ok with being next to trans gendered. I’ve already posted statements from women including female athlete they competed against Lia Thomas. But again that shows that your side of the argument is just obsessed with genitalia and is unwilling to consider tht not all women think the way you do. You’ve acknowledged that trans people are harassed and oppressed before so now you’re saying they’re mutually exclusive? ive acknowledged that yes trans people and their supporters can and do behave terribly including harassing and deliberately offending others. Being trans doesn’t make someone good. It doesn’t mean that they as a group should be called “freaks” and targeted. It means they should be treated like everyone else. So you think bringing up my personal relationships, which I rarely discuss here, and personal insults is a serious or germane counter argument?
