our defensive "system" is non-existant. looks like pick-up level strategy out there. not even 1 double showed to morant in the game, the doubles on giannis were ineffective.

~10% into the season. Wouldn’t have guessed our defense would be ahead of our offense.

    Offense : 28th
    Defense : 20th
    Net : 30th

    Last season

    Offense : 26th
    Defense : 29th
    Net : 29th

kind of makes sense when you add Jabari in the lineup with EG starting when hes playing. compared to last seasons primary lineups. still not great but itll be better than a year ago

I expect it to…Clippers have the 29th ranked offense, and we’ve played them twice

I remember at 1 point last year we were ranked as high as 18th defensively

currently ranked 27th on offense and 28th in defense…overall 27th in net rating at -6.1, an improvement from being 29th at -8.3 last year

Rockets are 5-5 at home with a -0.7 point differential while playing mostly good teams

3-13 on the road with a -9.3 point differential

right now, we look like a bad young team that can be competitive at home and win some games at TC even against good teams, but can often be embarrassed on the road…that is a step up from last season

this year’s team would blow out last year’s if they played each other

    Meh,

We had Wood last year, who, if nothing else, was at least a decent offensive player.

Jabari was basically unplayable for the first 20 games and hurt us on the court SIGNIFICANTLY.

I don't find the year over year performance metrics all that useful.

They might not finish with the league’s worst record for a third straight season, but the Rockets are very close and, if there’s been an improvement on either end of the floor, it’s been minimal. In fact, the Rockets are set to be the first team in almost 30 years to finish in the bottom five in both offensive and defensive efficiency in three straight seasons. The last team to do so — the Mavs in 1991-92, ’92-93 and ’93-94 — did it in a 27-team league.

The Rockets are in the middle of the pack in regard to ball movement, but their offense has been less than cohesive, registering the second-worst assist/turnover ratio (1.38) for any team in the last five seasons. That’s one reason (but not the only one) their transition defense has been terrible, allowing the most transition points per game (27.2) in 19 seasons of Synergy tracking.

    BBall-Ref:
    PTS/G: 110.5 (29th of 30) Opp PTS/G: 119.0 (29th of 30)
    SRS: -8.23 (29th of 30) Pace: 98.9 (16th of 30)
    Off Rtg: 111.4 (27th of 30) Def Rtg: 119.9 (29th of 30) Net Rtg: -8.6 (29th of 30)

    # tough to play against

Even with the tiny bar that Raffy set , we have failed to clear it .

We have 1 or 2 good wins the entire year .
