This team is incredibly young with none of it's future over the age of 22 and in a league where players tend to reach their prime around 27-28 and beyond. These kids have a heck of a lot of learning to do ..... You look at where their games are today and the sky's the limit for them. There's a lot of talent and that's a great place to start. Sit back and enjoy the process ....
I was actually referring to the Showtime Lakers with Worthy. I did not see that you were referring to the 1979 Lakers. Anyway, points made.
This team needs time to grow. Silas has taken on better coaches than him to his coaching staff which shows willingness for the team to get better. I respect him for that. Silas also seems to let the people around him work without micro management which is a different trait than most other coaches. I don’t know how the younger players would respond to a firm traditional fundamental coaching. The 2 years of quarantine have changed the generation —> really all of us.
I'll go with Starting Point Guard and Starting Center. None of the current options are the long term answer.
Celtics and Memphis have more talent and they dont even have a ring yet. We need more foundational pieces Jc and co aint cutting it from what I can see.
We need improvement. Defense, esp in transition and offense..more fluid, set plays and less isolation with 100 of dribblings. And i think our BC pairing is not ideal. On/off ball, defense--a lot to do for our coaching staff.
Upgrade your expectations for the second half of the season, downgrade them for the first half. So many people are freaking out over absolutely nothing but what was always going to happen.
