Don't be an idiot. I'm not saying the Rockets need draft another Magic Johnson, and I'm not saying the players they currently have need to win a championship, and mvps. That's not what I'm saying. What I'm saying is the players the Rockets' currently have who are already in their year 3 and 2 should already be playing really good to win games, and be competitive. KPJ is entering his 4th year he should have already figure out how to play well at the point guard position by now....
He is not a pg and will never be a pg. But you dont always need a pg as long as you have a good system in place and good players who know how to pass look for open guys. Look GSW, Curry is only listed as a pg cuz he is short, in reality GSW runs 2 sgs and even their backup pg Poole is also an sg. Scoot just needs to continue his development as a good 2 way player and increase his understanding of the game. He is on track imo.
i never called KPJ a super anything maybe you got crossed eyed. Edit: ok maybe I was the one who got crosseyed. Edited.
Curry despite being 10 times better than kpj, is okay playing without the ball though. I don’t know if it is possible to convince kpj to that.
Actually, no. What you said was Magic Johnson took his team to the Finals and won MVP as a 20 year old after someone said ClutchFans' expectations of 19 & 20 year olds are too much. Now, I may be an idiot, but I know what I read and your implication whether made out of utter stupidity or ignorance, was made, so don't deny it. And FYI ... KPJ wasn't a PG for 4 years, but I'm sure you didn't mean that either, right?
44% of KPJ's 3 pt shots are assisted so he is starting to move off the ball. He is also shooting 53% from 3 rn so it has been very effective.
We are playing Sesame Street, while the rest of the nba is playing game of thrones. It's gonna take six years or more watching Elmo and Groucho butt heads over taking the trash out.
im not worried about this year... this year is about letting the kids play... NEXT year we got cap room... and assets... at THAT point... I'm hoping to get a top tier center and a pg that can set the table... at that point KPJ moves to 6th man - and Alpy is 1st big off the bench... ???/Jabari/Tari/Green/???....kpj, Sengun, JC.... somebody like tate ot tyty or whoever could stick... but this is the core im figuring going forward... while always looking for upgrades... edit - oh... and the sooner we move on from Silas the better... imo... he's gonna make em all soft. lol
He's such a great spot-up 3-point shooter. Would really be best to not have him control the ball for so long.
Totally agree. I would suggest a veteran leader and mentor in the lineup to guide these youngsters until they gain enough seasoning in the league.
Don't forget James Worthy. That team played the most beautiful basketball I have ever seen even if I rooted for the Bulls and Celtics to beat them.
I so badly don’t want to give up on Silas, but damn he’s making it tough. I want to see some kind of a system on offense, and they can’t continue getting torched on defense every night. They play hard for him, and they have talent, so if the team doesn’t improve this year he has to go.
In order: 1) Owner 2) Head Coach 3) Point Guard 4) Backup point guard 5) Practice Facility 6) Center 7) Backup Power Forward
This. I was watching all of this wild ass play-in talk before the season just scratching my head wondering how the worst team in the league the last two years is going to get even younger and people somehow expect them to be dramatically better. We're on "The Path to Victor".
