The tenderloin at Marks is probably the best steak I've had. And I've been to pretty much all the steak houses in Houston.

    Vic And Anthonys is awesome
    Fogo is well Fogo
Americas is the best churrasco style steak you can have
    Pappas Steak house is alright
    Perrys is awesome!
Strip house in downtown is really good
    Morton is alright
Brenners might be one of the best!

    Excellent call.

Though the last time I went there was probably 5 years ago.

Teotihuacán on Airline. Just like I did today. ;) We had cake and ate it, too. It lasted a while that's what she said.

I always remember that we share a birthday, sir. I turned 34... "and still young, dude. Rock on. " (name that movie)

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

    Happy b-day Swoly!

We've finally decided on going to Truluck's tonight. I've been meaning to go back there for several years so this will be a good excuse to get some steak and stone crab.

This thread comes up about three times a year, so you could probably find what the consensus was at any given time... but...

I notice three of my favorites haven't been listed yet, so I'll oblige:

Houston's : The filet is always made of win

    Capital Grille: Seriously good stuff

America's: It's been a while, but the Churrasco Chico is seriously good.

This is a great idea just in case all of the steaks in Houston become contaminated, and eating your left shoe is no longer an option.

I'd then eat my right shoe before eating a vegan steak.

Ok just to update anyone that cares. We went to Trulucks and it was one of the best meals I've ever had. I highly recommend it, especially if you are in the mood for crabs at dinner instead of after dinner.

This thread has my interest. Steak is my favorite food, bar none!

That being said, I hate dressy atmosphere while price doesn't really concern me. I don't mind paying $100 for a steak if it's a really, really good one; I just don't want to have to put on dressy clothes!

Based on that, what's a good recommendation? Somewhere casual, but pricey is fine. Mo's looks promising.
