Take the $200 you're going to spend at the steakhouse, go to the grocery store and buy a couple of prime rib eyes, and spend the extra coin on a better bike.

If I don't feel like cooking, I'll go to Texas Land and Cattle and get the smoked sirloin. If you can cut it with a fork and its pepper crusted... its damn good eats. Also you cant beat the wedge salad. Most times I'll have a great lunch the next day bc its so damned filling.

You want the best steak? Nothing is finer than KOBE Beef! not the one from LA but the real one from Kobe Japan.

Kobe Japanese Steak House and Sushi (281) 578-1879 1907 Vernlake Cir, Houston, Texas.

    ;)

I think ESPN is who would be most interested in sticking Kobe beef in their mouths.

Seriously, try Brenner's on I-10. Just fantastic in all regards: service, ambiance, and especially the food. Cannot recommend enough.

Golden Corral or Ryan's, kind of like Fogo except you have to get the steak yourself.

If all you want is a great cut of beef and you don't care if others will like the menu get the Kobe at Marks, it's better than all the other dry aged beef at the other restaurants that were posted in this thread IMO.. If it were still open and for the price I'd say the filet at Brennan's would be your best bet to have a great dinner party with a very well rounded menu..

Thinly veiled "it's my birthday, pay attention to me" thread. I see right through you.

take this as the gospel. their dry-aged kobe bone-in ribeye is the best steak i've ever had. it's a huge portion (i think 24oz. of meat) and very expensive (i want to say $120 or so) but you can, and should, definitely split it.

if you want the best steak in the city, this is it.
