ariza is doing better than we give him credit for.
he's got a tough job, and he plays hard at both ends every night.

i think he needs to do a better job playing the refs.
right now the refs are playing him.

He needs to have a mindset of a role player, stop those all star, 1st option... fancy stuff.

shot selection would be his No1 thing.

the percentage of hit for open 3 is acceptable, but the mid-range jump shot is quite bad.I do thinkthis guy needs more slash than acting as a spot shooter.he deserved the talent to attack the glass!

Reason why his handles aren't good is because he's ALWAYS, I mean ALWAYS been an off-ball, slashing type player. He's never been a player that could take over by creating his own shot and nobody should have expected him to be, because those are just absolutely unrealistic expectations. Once Yao comes back and goes back to playing the Yao of Old, Ariza's life will be so much easier, he'll be shooting so much more efficient, Ariza will be happy.

I hope none of you expected Ariza to be a superstar.

Uh... is there an ALL OF THE ABOVE?

Seriously, I think he can be a good 2nd/3rd option for this team in the coming years. He looks out of character being the focal point in the offense.

i will say shot selection, his field goal % is not really that great, and also kinda inconsistent at times, and maybe anger management,i dunno man,i just remembered last season he had a hard flagrant foul on rudy fernandez when the teams is losing by alot, and the same thing happen this season, where he almost elbow derozan

I think gettinger would help him a lot. Getting stronger would help his explosion in small spaces. He's a elongated athlete as opposed to a compact athlete. He may never have the short burst explosion of say carmello, but getting stronger would allow more explosion in the cracks.

defense.. my hope is he could become the second Battier for this team when he got signed.. from what i've seen this year, he's far from that..

as for the another criteria (ball handling, shot selection, etc) i think when we got healthy next season, he will be the 3rd or 4th option in scoring so i don't that's really important..
