Born in South/West Philly. Went to grade school and high school in Port Lavaca, TX. Went to college in Houston. I'm currently in Austin (been here for a year and a half) Will be moving to Washington DC in the fall. Shortly after moving to Texas, I picked up my older brother's excitement for the team in the '95 season. I've consistently followed and rooted for the Rox ever since (in bad times and, well, not so bad times.
cool, realy, do you leave near the castle Dracul? (there was a count who drank blood of his enemies? right? and he book was based on him) about the Match. I hope we will win(holland). Romania is not as good as it used to be. In the late 90 i liked the team of romania alot. But like i said they are not as good as they were back then. But still they are not a bad team. With the dutch team you never know, they beat one of the best teams in the world(Ok without Nedved but still) and then they cannot beat Macedonia. so like i said you never know. But i think Holland will win 2-0 What do you think?
Born in Delta State, Nigeria. Married to a Nigerian-American. Lived in Europe (Germany and Holland) in the 1990s and now living in my adopted home, Houston. Been a Hakeem fan since the 1980s. Ha ha .....I still remeber that I did not buy his shoe instead settled for Ewing's because Patricks was cheaper then in Nigeria.....and that memory still haunts me. Had a choice between Houston and Atlanta as my residence - easy choice I chose Houston because of Hakeem and I have been a fan of everything Houston since then. The weirdest thing about it all is that I became less of a fan of Hakeem when I finally moved to Houston.
belgrade, serbia. moved around the us since i was a kid, landed in chicago which is where im at for the time being. became a rockets fan mostly cuz of hakeem(wehn i was like five), then stuck around. been rooting for the rockets all my life.
Born in Venezuela, raised in Miami, moved to Houston halfway through 10th grade. I was a big Heat fan during their Hardaway-PJ Brown-Alonzo days, but started following the Rockets when they drafted that really big guy from China
yeah, the castle is 20 miles from my town the book about him is total fiction, 98% of what was written was fake, the only real things were his name (Vlad Tepes (the empaylor)), and that he was cruel (only to his enemies). about drinking blood, i really doubt it. anyway, he is a positive figure in our history books but because of stoker he's differently known by foreigners ok, about the game, it's true, our national team is going through a very bad period, and now that mutu is suspended for coke, our chancess decreased. however, puiu iordanescu was changed and piturca was named head-coach, which is a postive thing. holland is the favorite team while we are the underdogs. i expect a good game, i also was (and still am) a fan of the netherlands, ever since ronald koeman (my fav player ever), gulit, van basten, van breuckelen, etc ( i almost cried in 94 when they were eliminated by brazil)
Born in Bittburg, Germany. Moved to Tampa, Florida(Macdill AFB) from the ages of 2 to 5, then moved to my parents' native Magnolia, Tx (40 miles northwest of Houston). They got a divorce, and I ended up moving to Jamestown, New York with my mother.
i know the book was fiction. i read somewhere that there was a count(like you said). And that he at (atleast) one time drank the blood of a defeated enemie.(not sure if it is true). Is that castle open for tourists? About the dutch team, they were great in the last couple of decades. but noow we are just not that good anymore. I think it is great that so many people like the dutch team(like you and Rivaldo2181). So people wil also think about soccer when they think of Holland and not only the drugs and prostitutes:S
