That's the problem, people continuing to vote against their own economic interests. A low income Republican getting a hundred dollar tax break is happily oblivious to the tax breaks for corporations and millionaires that will inevitably necessitate a cut in services to that low income family. It's like they are awful at math.
AT&T is already proving my point. Give bonuses, say it’s because of the tax cut, and then fire 300 from Dallas. https://www.dallasnews.com/business...=Echobox&utm_medium=Social&utm_source=Twitter
Sure, because AT&T has never laid off anyone up until now. And you forgot this nice little gem. If you want to debate the tax bill, thats fine. Just don't throw red herrings out there because you've run out of arguments.
This isn’t an argument against or for the tax bill. It’s that corporations are not going to use this windfall to pay their workers more if they do not have to pay more. (And I don’t think should pay more if they do not need to) This was a big selling point of the bill by Speaker Ryan. But these corporations sure as hell will cash in on cheap or free good publicity like AT&T did yesterday by saying they were giving bonuses because of the bill even though they always give bonuses. Also, do you think most workers could up and move to a new city at this stage in their lives? Especially if they have a mortgage or school age kids. It’s another calculated move to look good for PR. I am against the current tax bill because I know what’s coming next: gutting the social safety nets to offset the massive deficit increases.
Paul Ryan is already pushing Trump for safety net "reform". Watch them all of a sudden care greatly about the debt.
Please break down for me the components of the bill that you believe make it the MOST unpopular tax bill ever??? Break down the numbers please...instead of regurgitating the same BS, please share with me how this bill is cancerous for you and your family?
Here's one very specific impact on me and my family. I have two kids in college... as a result, I believe I will end up paying more taxes, even with the doubling of child-tax credit (and the doubled child-tax credit is replaced by a $500 family credit btw). https://www.washingtonpost.com/news...-with-kids-in-college/?utm_term=.c74d90e79571
If the bill is passed, why would ATT bother with publicity? That is some pretty expensive publicity when they could throw it towards advertising. I can't tell you why ATT did it. Nor can you. You can't say ATT cut 300 jobs when they opened up positions in other locations. You're cherry picking your argument and moving the goal post. Its no longer ATT is cutting 300 jobs, but instead they are screwing over 300 of their employees. News flash, they screw over all of their employees. ATT is a shitty company to work for.
The most surprising winners from Trump’s ‘America First’ tax plan are not American http://thehill.com/opinion/finance/...rs-from-trumps-america-first-tax-plan-are-not
LOL Space Ghost doesn't understand economics. Job creation is driven by DEMAND. Not Extra Cash laying around. Idiots.
So the plan is to raise the deficit and then cut entitlements like Medicare when the deficit balloons.
