So now raising tax on a segment of the poor, middle, and the federal deficit to give the rich a bigly tax break is #maga. Lovely.

    What about senior?

AARP: 5.2 million seniors could see taxes increased by GOP bill

But all fake news. Don't worry, trust us. Actually no, what does it matter. We are screwing you over and you'll still support us.

Guy Benson is a right wing radio talk show host. He authored the tweet Commodore posted and that I responded to. Of course, you knew this, so why feign ignorance? Oh, and note, the radio talk show hosted didn't quote the NY Times news article. Nor did he link to it. Funny that he didn't, huh?

LOL... how soon do you think Trump will retweet this completely inaccurate "reporting" from his PR firm at the state-run network?

Have there ever been a more untruthful and delusional national politician in US history?

In fact, someone in Mnuchin/Trump's own Treasury department confirmed Mnuchin lied. No surprise... America is being sold a bill of goods...

Analysis Mnuchin promised showing tax cuts pay for themselves doesn’t exist: report

Trump, Trump supporters, and republicans not only ignore CBO report that says this rich person tax cut bill is a turd, but they will have to ignore the Joint Committee on Taxation scoring due soon...

A wild card expected Wednesday could put the Senate GOP tax bill in jeopardy

This tax plan is an abomination.

Seriously, how does the right have any supporters left. It makes zero sense to me that people can be this stupid.

People can be much more stupid than this, as proven throughout the history.

John McCain - where is the independent public spirited maverick now?

Oh that's right, falling in line to destroy the deficit and increase taxes for hte poor and working class so that the rich can profit - and kick 10 million americans off of health insurance, with a horrific, needelessly disgusting piece of legislation.

He's confident it's going to cause growth - how the **** do you say this, when literally NOBODY who actually knows anything about how budgets and taxes and economies work - is confident of this? Or when you're not even pretending to let the CBO do its job?

That's why all of this stuff aobut Corker, Flake, McCain willing to buck the president is bullsh-t, they're willing to say mean things about him for being an *******, after he repeatedly insults them, but when it comes to saving actual lives or nothelping to engineer the literal destruction of the American dream by ultra -rich - no **** that.

Republican party at its core is to reduce tax for the rich, I fully expect them to do that when they are in office, it is the current back bone of the whole party philosophy, so I am not going to b!tch about it too much.

Marketing, messaging, and strategy in the world of business is a big part of what dictates success often over product quality. Same applies conceptually to politics.

Regarding marketing... the GOP has a corporate funding machine. They funded this marketing campaign to help them win back the House, Senate, and presidency to get their return on investment.

The marketing defines well executed messaging. Just consider the messaging their voters get from right wing media and right wing politicians. The GOP is super aggressive with messaging and they know what drives their customers.

The product isn’t what anyone really wants though which is why the Democrats can still have a blue wave coming next year even despite poor messaging and questionable marketing to back their message they desperately need to get out.

This is why people still vote for Republicans. They are very good at what they do. They just have a sh$&y product to offer and now that product is really garbage... which is Nationalism with an emboldening authoritarian leader who is helping build the US Oligarchy for generations to come.

You Republican voters really bought us a dousey here. Thanks.

This is something much worse though

This isn't just tax cuts for the rich, like the Bush era, this is tax cuts for the rich coupled with corresponding tax increases and similar burdens for the non-rich and attempts to ensure that the non rich *stay that way*

This isn't just a giveaway to the 1%. It is outright oppression of the 99%. By design. The logical effect of these changes is to create a tiny, hereditary untaxed aristocracy.

    It is disgusting and alarming.

If the 99% are stupid enough to get Trump and GOP elected to do this, what did they expect? Hard to save the mass from themselves.

To be fair, he didn't promise to raise tax on poor and working class. He promised racially charged policy, draining the swamp, fixing health care and making it great, #maga, ....

    duped

but here is the thing, they still support him... so yea, you got a point, but it's no where near 99%. It's now around 30%.

30% is now, it was much higher during the last election, like I have said many times, elections have consequences. Just look at someone like Ipman as a prime example of a person who does not support Trump policies but never the less voted for him.

ipaman supports Trump and his policies. he has assumed the troll-character to avoid responsibility for his vote and support. So he pretends he didn't vote for him, but likes the havoc Trump causes. Pretty embarrassing IMO...
