Thats some funny stuff right there. I gotta say, the only rap I may get into these days is Houston stuff. Bun B seems consistently good and Slim Thug is one of my favorites. I do miss some of the old stuff and I do know about June 27th. Ball fade with them clippers!
all part of a dying, just about dead music scene. Music goes in cycles, and the rap scene is just about dead at this time. It will return in time, but will come back much different than the way you remember it. It lasted a whole lot longer than I ever thought it would, so give them credit for that. They were able to change on the fly and keep the scene relevant for a long period, but the music scene is driven by the young teenagers and they are not buying it right now. There will always be the big names and the occassional new guy who will sell records, but it will not be the widespread music force it was for a long time. They have a base that will keep them making music and touring, but it will get harder and harder to find and there will be less and less new artist. Its just the way the music scene goes.
Mike Jones works as a tollway attendant by what used to be Town and Country Mall. I believe that I saw Paul Wall bussing tables at Panchos Mexican Restaurant last Saturday night. Then again I was really blasted and was preoccupied with raising the little flag at the table to get our waitress to bring us more drinks.... any who...
