Chamillionaire- Is releasing Venom really soon. Bun B- Had released UGK album that was rushed, and working on his new album "Trill OG" that is suppose to be coming out in April, but I'm sure it will be pushed back Slim Thug- Still eating off "The Boss of all Bosses". Only heard him on mixtapes so far Lil Flip- Has the a ton of mixtapes and like 2 real Cds. One is "The Underground Legend 2" and something else. He also has an album "Ahead of my Time" coming out sometime this year. He's not where he used to be so just don't bother. Z-Ro- Just had "Cocaine" come out and it was ok. Is now working on a cd with Billy Cook. Trae- Had the mixtape "The Incredible Truth" comes out. And has his real cd "Tha Truth" coming out at the end of the month. Mike Jones and Paul wall??? Does anybody really care. Paul Wall had maybe three good songs on his last album. Hope that helps
You know that SUC is not a group. It's a collaboration of all the southside rappers. So yes SUC is still around but everybody is on different labels. SUC will never die. Have my screw-head on my arm to prove that.
Nick, Do you think the H-Town thing is on the downswing? I'm not privy to the underground mixtapes so I have no idea what's out there. I just know they're not much on the national stage anymore. None of them are selling that great. Too early too tell?
Houston, where hard work goes unnoticed. Finally, the day comes and it pays off for a brief stint. And then it's back to the beginning for a very long time...possibly forever.
You have to look at like this. Texas had an explosion when Still Tippin came out. Many people try to say that Texas was already on that map but really before that song we had Geto Boys, UGK, and Lil Flip was gaining success. These rappers were isolated but after Still Tippin everybody that had any success was signed. And like any fade it went through and left towards Florida rap. The only ones that are really left are the ones that are actually talented. That's why you only see so few nowadays on TV. It's on the national downsizing, but the real rappers stick to the underground. That's why not everbody knows who Z-ro is, but a year ago at the Los Magnificos Car Show with a packed arena, Z-ro headlined and everybody knew his songs. Proving albums sales don't really show anything. Have to see what the streets are listening too in order to know who's big. Everybody had Slim Thug new CD but I'm sure only one person bought the album.

Honestly I was kind of excited for this year. But everything is pushed back. Trae's new album was suppose to come out January. Got pushed to Feburary, then to I don't know. Someone told me Venom got pushed back again into June. But he did come out with the Major Pain mixtape.... I heard about Devin the Dude's new album since October. Can't wait for that ****. Then you got Bun B with Trillogy. Though, I wouldn't be surprised if his features include Lil Wayne or Drake. Z-Ro came with a new mixtape... <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/XqMRpiRG7Nw&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/XqMRpiRG7Nw&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object> <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/I4naA8CpO4M&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/I4naA8CpO4M&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
