Heypartner was the first poster to great me when I started posting to the site. He started out real nice then proceeded to rip into me for my basketball opinions. He seemed to love a good confrontation back in the day. Speaking of Heypartner, another poster was smeggysmegg. He was a true Rockets fan. He made a trip to Houston to see the Rockets from Australia as part of his honey moon.

I think they all still post, but barely. I wish they would post more. But actually I barely go to the Rockets section anymore. Hangout and NBA dish is what I primarily read, but have started in the Debate out of sheer boredom.

I remember Jenna being on there, as well.

I actually feel bad for some of the younger posters. When I came on here, we had just gotten rid of Pippen and had traded for Steve Francis. The Championships were still fresh in our heads and we still had freaking Barkley AND Olajuwon. It still seemed possible to win a championship that year, believe it or not. Since then? Not so much. I've become quite apathetic about the Rockets. If they make the playoffs I'll watch, but the days of watching every game are long gone.

Are you thinking of an animated GIF that filled with names of Members?

I wouldn't mind seeing that GIF if it is still archived somewhere.

Jenna
DREAMer
Davo
Old School

Who are we missing around here?

for the op's question,

registered as "yelohatman" back in 2002
omegasupreme in 2003

and...

ummm....

viennasausage later in 2003 during the yoyao drama days (owner of the biggest clutch smackdown... and well deserved). time flies. tried getting my 2002 username back by emailing clutch, but i'm pretty sure my antics back then prevent me from going back to "yelohatman". the account is still active, but can't post. :(

It's been so long since I've seen it but I think it was an animated gif. Don't know if clutch still has it or not but it would be pretty cool to see it on the home page of clutchfans (clutchcity) again.

I am pretty sure that Old School became Free Agent and then became Faos as all 3 have very similar posting styles.

Posters that I haven't seen in ages:

Achebe
SmeggySmeg
Trader_Jorge
DVauthrin
DEANBCURTIS
BandGeekMobster
So many others, many that have been named already.

I think with most posters they just get busy with real life and find it hard to keep up with the BBS. I was on pace to probably have over 30K posts by this point and I am "struggling" to get to 21K. Having kids, increased work responsibilities, harder classes at school, etc. can really cut your time of posting here.

Trader_Jorge stopped posting at 9,999 -- his plan is to post #10,000 after Obama loses in 2012.

For real? What a dumb ass point to make on a basketball forum.

One person I do not miss whatsoever is Jenna. Good lord she was annoying with her Karl Malone worship. I think or actually hope me being a constant dick to her was one reason she stopped posting.

Though I think she is still probably here under a different moniker.

Well I believe that TJ is posting here but under another handle anyway. I am not going to say what handle because I'll get people telling me that I am wrong (when they are just saying that to confuse things).

I think one of the most amazing stories here is the one of the poster "3814".

He revealed a couple of years ago that he was here before but under the handle, "StroShow". All of the mess that went on with "StroShow" was a little before my time but it was the stuff of legend with "StroShow" being touted as one of the greatest trolls ever. For this guy to start another account and go on to be a somewhat decent poster, knowing all the furor he caused in the past with the old name, is remarkable, IMO.

Makes you wonder if there are other people here that really burned their bridge but started over and are respected and as a result, are hiding a dark secret from the rest of the board.

Same here. More then a decade as one of the worst teams in the league has really desensitized me. Bad management, injuries and just plain old sucking, whatever the excuse is --- we have SUCKED for a long while now.

You'll see him post every now and then in soccer threads, mainly US-Mexico threads.

aelliot still posts, but way too rarely. He was one of our resident contract and league rule go-to-guys before bima picked up the slack.
