KG defended Yao perfectly and didn't let Yao score in the last 6 minutes while hitting several consecutive clutch baskets in a row... How was that not dominating? Yao played great the whole game but it's not like he completely shut down Dwilight Howard. Yao also missed a crucial free thrown and it was Rafer who sealed the deal for us... That's not what you call "dominate".
It's all semantics. Yao outscored Howard, he outrebounded him, and Howard ended the game sitting on the bench after fouling out. Dominate? I don't know. How about "ownage"?
Anyway, all of this sniping at Yao on a Rockets web site after what was clearly a pretty good game for him is pretty pathetic.
this thread isn't even about yao-howard comparison. how thick is your skull? generally, i'm not too crazy about player comparisons - different eras, different teams, different systems, different opponents. but seriously, since i'm a rookie here, can i ask - is this really supposed to be a rockets board? if so, why we have so many ppl here that apparently hate, degrade, and/or assess yao so unfairly? aren't those ppl all supposed to be rockets fans? isn't yao one of the 15 rockets and always has been? this somehow just makes me feel how extra hard it is for yao to have success in the nba.

Yes beacuse KG guard Yao the entire game Is easy to spend 90% of the games doing nothing on defense guarding nobody just helping on Perkins and Pollard and then after Allen and Pierce have done the heavy work for 3 quarters in offense and Perkins and Pollard have beat been beating up Yao all night you go and front Yao while foul him a few times and then go to the open spot to hit open jumpers thanks to Pierce making plays for him and Allen fighting for key offensive rebounds to get possessions back. Let KG defend yao all night I want to see how much energy he have at the end of the game or how bad putting Scola and Hayes to beat up on him all night I want to see him in crunch time. (Oh I forgot that KG will get all the calls not like Yao, so is not a good idea to beat him up)
you smells like a certified hater to me. kg did such and such in last 6 minutes? mostly true minus he fouled yao several times and got away with 'em. but i'll give you that. how 'bout kg dominated yao for 6 minutes? lol. against "the best big" in the game, yao limited howard's pts and rebounds significantly under his season avg. and eventually fouled him out all in the same game. oh wait, he missed a "crucial ft". lol. you must be <20 my honest guess.
i'm just gonna quit on this. 2:30am on a weekend, semi-drunk, just not good. wherever there is talk about yao, there is controversy. whenever yao plays a ball game, there is heated debate. why?

Why a supposedly Rockets fan try to be that rational to make the above argument with a passion is beyond me. You sound too objective to make anyone believe that you are a Rockets fan. Let me tell you one thing, if the performance of Yao and Howard has reversed tonight, there would be at least 10 "Howard dominated Yao" thread in the Magic forum now. I don't blame the people who started those threads because those would be Magic homers and they did it in the Magic forum which was their home turf. I always give homers a free pass for being less than truly objective and rational in supporting their own players. Now, I have a question for you, ekim. Why would you make a Magic homer's post in a Rockets homer's forum? Have you logged into the wrong forum to support your team?
Believe it or not, some people do care a lot when Yao got dominated. Did you say the same thing to try to shut those people up when the "Yao got dominated" threads flooded this forum? No offense but you sound somewhat hypocritical here.
Just posting to say how much I support Yao and how awesome he was against the supposedly #1 center in the league, although his team has only beaten 1 team over .500 and hasn't made any noise in the playoffs.
You must be new here. Ekim is a Yao-hater. It pained him so much when he saw someone say "Yao dominated whoever". His only purpose here is to hate on our Rocket player. Go read his past posts if you don't believe.
