Yea, cause coaches are at fault when your starters suck. Perfect sense... As of Battier... I hope it's his feet. If not... trading him could now be an option.
listen i love shane, but the guy is either hurt or in serious decline. he cant move laterally at all and is providing no offense. shut shane down until he is healthy if he is hurting.
Battier has very little trade value, because he's just not that good - this is what Battier's supporters fail to see despite his atrocious play this season. He can't get you Rudy Gay, he can't get you a lottery pick, he might not be able to even get you a lottery ticket. Players like Mario Elie, Bruce Bowen, James Posey, etc.. show that guys like Battier are readily available through free agency and other less costly means. It's obvious to any rational person that the Rockets got thoroughly screwed in that trade. Now we're stuck with him unless we can find another team as stupid as the Rockets were to trade him to.
what the battier haters forget is, this is Battier's November!!! He shut it down and started from scratch, similar to tmac. That means no real practice, no real conditioning. The difference is tmac has made this a soap opera and shane hasn't. The local sportswriters expect Shane to get better as the season progresses, why? Because they realize he needs to get in playing shape, just being able to run and jump isn't enough. Not one started, except for yao, made more than 2 shots, our pg and PF positions got burned as well. They had FOUR guys score 20 or more and i'm sure Shane wasn't guarding them all. He's out of just like most of the players, but hes not close to top of the list when it comes to a single player that can change the team around.
Actually.. yeah. He didnt say COMPLETELY at fault, he said more at fault. If your starters suck, they dont remain starters.
Look, I dont like the hating any more than you do... but we really need to find another crutch. I'm so tired of hearing things like that about this team that I could throw up. If he's not 100% he should be getting less court time.
I have traditionally been a Battier supporter, but his play and effect on the court has signifigantly declined.
I love Battier. And I still love every Rocket. They're just in a huge slump right now. Am I the only true fan here? The only beliver? This forum should be renamed to FAKEFANS, the way you guys hate, point fingers, and give up. You, the fans, are supposed to be the ones supporting your team even through the toughest of times.
Shane is what we all know he is a defender. Any offense is helpful but to be honest i believe he is suffering because of McGrady. Tmac used to get double teams and now since he is slow everyone's game suffers. So i dont blame shane its Tmacs fault remember: <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/oleKfixy-7A&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/oleKfixy-7A&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
Battier is a complimentary player, start looking more closely at the alleged stars and their effort first. DD
Two things about this: 1. The idea, then, is that McGrady should explode if he isnt getting double-teams, but he's not. It is his fault, then (and I'm a T-Mac fan). 2. That doesn't explain what Battier is doing when T-Mac's not on the court (considering Artest sometimes gets double-teams and Yao even demands triples on occasion).
