I think Badiane will be a helluva player one day in the NBA. The main reason I say that is what we hear about his work ethic. Remember that video of that workout he did with his trainer.. restrained jumping of some sort. He is/was a horse... Neigh!
Our drafting may pick-up now that our senior scout for oh, the last twenty years, is coaching the Lakers.
Look, the reason we're not suiting up our former draft picks just yet is because all of this offseason's draft picks are being grossly overpaid. All these teams are shooting themselves in the foot by signing these guys to rookie contracts that won't come off the books for possibly three years! Some of these guys are getting paid thousands a year to sit on the bench! CD is being smart by sitting back until all the draft pick craziness is over and then he can pick and choose from what's left over for cheap. We DO NOT want to get hamstrung by dishing Badiane out a fat, two-year deal like we've done so many times in the past.
