Morey is a good GM, but he can't be a top GM.
Whenever he has done some good decision, he would made some mistakes.
He brought Josh Smith, then he traded Cannon for KJ.

    "If the beard fits..."

He's our best player who can produce wins... he's also inconsistent and lazy when he feels like it - which dooms us to losses...

The guy won't listen to the coach, pisses off his teammates, comes in hungover and typically dgaf... screw him - maybe he can get a heart transplant from Scola or Sura...

He's got the tools to be a top 3 player in this league. You see it from time to time. Last year more often than this. But his level of engagement varies from completely tuned in to "when's my flight to LA?" The guy can't stay locked in for two games in a row. That's a real problem in a 7 game series. He's a superstar, no doubt. His defense is improving. His passing is elite. He's a triple double threat on most nights. And anyone even hinting that we trade him doesn't understand that we get pennies on the dollar for trading a franchise guy. You pay him the franchise max and find a coach that gets him locked in. The other pieces can be found. But he deserves every bit of blame for this team underperforming. The balls goes through Harden on most plays when he's on the court, and on many plays he dominates the ball for half or more of the possession. He needs to be decisive and attack instead of trying to bedazzle the defender with his dribbling while everyone else is standing around. He needs to run the pick and roll better and involve his teammates more. And on defense, he needs to be locked in on most plays, at the very least. I can accept getting burned on defense because you were too aggressive or the other guy simply made a great play. I can't accept his matador defense or - even worse - the plays where he doesn't even move to guard the guy with the ball when he's the closest defender.

tl;dr - Harden's our best guy. He gets the credit when we win. He deserves the blame when we lose. There's no other team that depends on one guy as much as we depend on Harden, and this year he's let us down.

Why not, esp. when he keeps shooting blanks in the endgame. And alarmingly refs are not calling fouls as much on his drives. He has to evolve his game. The whole team has to evolve

I guess if it bothers him, he could always give some of that max money back. Same goes for Howard.

    "We need warriors."

I don't think he cared about who get blamed. He'd slap your ass in the locker room.

meh -- in Hardens first season, even when we won, Harden was blamed for Lin having a bad game.

    These are much better times

it is his fault though. a near 30+pt triple double or bust! isnt that the rockets gameplan?
and accelerate dwight's decline by giving him a measly 3-5 shots a game?
and always believe they won the game the second they're up by 10pts

rockets assketball! cant live with it, can live without it. GO ROCKETS! YOU SUCK! :mad:

You must be a part time member because that's not true. Blame has been dished out to Morey, Mchale, Howard, Lawson, Brewer, Ariza Dmo (even though that's crazy), now JBB and T. Jones.

Let's get our facts right thread starter. Haha

Prolly because he is generally responsible for many of them -- also he is the best player on the team. His one-on-one mentality late in games, and very very late and ill advised passing down the stretch has killed us in multiple games in this young season.

He dominates the ball on offense, and he's doing nothing on defense.

No hyperbole to praise the King..... the real James

He is getting older but LBJ was one of a kind. A freak of nature if you will.

A tank that could post up, shoot 3s, shoot long 2s, drive and quickly get back on Defense.

Harden is not even built well enough to sustain the wear and tear to play 40 minutes on both ends. (which he admitted in an interview- just read - too lazy to lay them out every time a Harden fan states this)
