    Melo is the 2018 version of the 2004-2006 Juwan Howard. Of course Melo has had the far better career than Juwan even comparing their primes, but when the Rockets got them, they are physically washed and their games are obsolete. The difference is that D'Antoni (and Morey) see this while Jeff Van Gundy still trusted the veteran consummate professional Juwan even though he was an on-court negative.
