I posted a similar poll back when Six Feet Under was ending on HBO and they had a storyline about a 'green' burial. Back then, I found these people: http://www.ethicianfamilycemetery.org/pressrelease.pdf They are up by Lake Livingston and seem to have a better idea.........but I still haven't done anything about making any arrangements.
I like that. I think cemeteries are an outmoded idea. It's a waste of land. I want to be fed to animals or something. Or a big funeral pyre like Darth Vader would be cool.
Country clubs and cemetaries are the biggest waste of prime real estate in America. Just ask my friend Wang here. He just bought land by the Great Wall of China. On the good side!
If they can put a cadaver in a controlled crash, to see how a real body reacts to impact in order to make cars safer and save lives - I'm all for it.
Hey, MadMax... did you know there are no cemeteries in San Francisco? But the golf courses are abundant, though... I can see your point but... uhhh... who'd want to HANDLE that job? And I do mean before AND after... ewww...
I'm not sure yet. I'm kinda leaning to donating it to science, because somebody should experience my awesome body parts.
I'm kind of a free spirit so I'd like my ashes to be spread in my favorite place, but I'd also like a tombstone or plaque or something in case my family wants a concrete place to remember me.
I agree I hate that band and there's no way I would want my body being used in one of their shows or videos.
Donated to science. And when I say donated to science, I mean I come back as a killer cyborg, maybe keep my brain functioning Robocop style. Or maybe some more meaningful health care research, whatever comes first...
Oh,yes. My family is from Lufkin,my grandparents would take me to Lake Livingston all the time...fished the Pass quite a bit too.Although,I grew up in Bellaire on Elm between Avenue B and Newcastle. So in their later years my grandparents would take me over to Hermann Park and we would drop a line in.(perch, catfish, and a few bass)We all had plenty of good times there when I was a kiddo and I know they loved it so it was an easy decision. BTW..It's really good to see that they've restocked it.And it's not so choked with vegetation anymore either.
