They'll be relevant the minute they cut Gilbert, build through the draft, and give John Wall some good, young pieces to grow with him. I can see them being the next Thunder in about 4 years, as long as they stay patient and don't bog themselves down with signing marginal veterans to long-term deals.

Crittenton is a FA; so is Josh Howard.

So, really their team is as follows:
    Wall
    Arenas
    Al Thornton
    Blatche
    McGhee
and Nick Young and Q Ross off the Bench

Arenas makes about $18 million and the other 5 make about $12 million combined. That leaves them around $20 million to spend on Free Agents and John Wall (which I'm guessing can be signed over the cap after they spend all the cap $ if they decide to).

Sounds like a good kid. I don't get the hype about his game at all but I wish him the best.

    This.

They are, by no means the best team, but they are also not the worst team.

Obviously, they can't contend for a championship next season.

Wizards should just take this next season to let Wall get all the experience he can get, and get a high draft pick.

Next summer / season, the Wizards should take the East by storm.
