If you want to compare apples to apples, Adelman is the coach of the Rockets and he's probably a candidate for coach of the year when this season is done with. Who had high expectations of the Rockets this year? How many NBA purists are impressed with what the Rockets have been able to do up til this point? Completely different situation. I dont see how any reasonable fan could start hating on Morey at the present time. Even if he can't flip T-Mac into anything useful, it wont be for a lack of trying. Morey has made some good deals (Brooks, Landry, trade for Lowry) and a questionable deal in Gay for Battier. Every GM is going to make mistakes. As long as he doesn't make the mistakes CD made (passing on Rashard Lewis in the draft, trading Richard Jefferson, getting back a hill of beans for Pippen, massive contracts for Cato, Mo Taylor, Matt Maloney and other random scrubs) then Morey will be fine.

Morey's only real blemish WAS Joey Dorsey...I know one game but Morey is looking better and better. Budinger Dorsey Landry Brooks Scola Fans better not turn on the guy, he has been fantastic.
Meh, I would say signing Brent Barry was a mistake, but whatever. Hardly going to crucify him over something that nitpicky. And yeah, so Dorsey. Wow.
For me to hate Morey, it would have to take signing a couple of players to longterm contracts for a bunch of money, players that then underperform and set our franchise back another half-decade. He's going to get the chance to prove or disprove our faith in the next two offseasons, although I don't know if re-signing Yao will ever be his call.
